Skyline Art Center

The project is a sales office, located at the north side of Taihu Square in Wuxi, and positioned as an "art center", emphasizing artistry and inner spirit. First of all, the designer considers the "architecture", "interior" and "landscape" as a whole, and uses "space" to design it, returning to the architectural essence of traditional philosophy. The owner hopes that the art center will become such a space experience: it will enable people to enter this specific field from the noisy city and gain freedom of soul. The difficulty of design is that the original structure of the building's plane outline and height cannot be broken, but can only be created in a square box with a length of 34m, a width of 13.2m, and a height of 9.0m. Therefore, based on the reasonable optimization of the cost of the established project and the feasibility of approval, to minimize the material risk and improve the construction efficiency, the simple device of the overall design becomes the method to achieve overall consideration.
We hope to build a pure spiritual landmark here, similar to the seaside library and Anaya auditorium. The space itself does not need so many things, but a space that can understand and comfort the heart. Adhering to the design principle of "Less is More", the complex and simple facade design will make the project stand out from the complex surrounding environment and buildings, form a unique style, and balance it.
