About The Entry

This hand towel is an "origami crane hand towel" made from recycled paper cranes donated by the city of Hiroshima in JAPAN.

Hiroshima City is a city that was rebuilt after the atomic bomb was dropped in 1945. Many people bring paper cranes to the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Park to pray. The paper cranes were recycled and reborn as hand towels.

There are many beautiful rivers in Hiroshima, and trams run through the city. The 650 is the exposed train.

I made a design with a hole through which the 650 characters can be seen.

Maple, which is the pattern of the hand towel, is the prefectural tree of Hiroshima.

The other is a folded paper package. It is an image of the train tracks running in the center of the road and looking at it from above.

Also, when you open the folded package, the typography emerges in the form of overlapping stairs.
