Gaga Hangzhou OōEli Restaurant

Hangzhou OōEli Art Park (Tianmu Li) is designer Renzo Piano's first China project, Gaga OōEli restaurant is inspired by OōEli's architecture design featuring simplicity, clarity and tranqulity, the space is designed to integrate into the local environment which is harmonious with the overall park design.

Inspired by the traditional tea fields in Hangzhou, the space is seen as a conceptual combination of the mountains, watertown and tea fields. The space is integrated with the architectural language of the OōEli art park site. Walking into the space, one’s first impression becomes immediately interested, with a refreshing feeling of a concise approach of freshness, the space is full of natural, relaxing and soothing atmosphere.

With simple, natural materials, Gaga OōEli project creates a dinning space to enjoy healthy and tasty food, and a soothing, peaceful space that responds to the natural landscape and the sceneries at OōEli and the region. The design also aligns with the client’s brand image to advocate green, organic food and artistic, youth lifestyle of the local residents and visitors. The design emphasizes on healthy, natural and artistic lifestyle to reinforce Gaga’s brand image, the restaurant itself is expected to become a pioneer of innovative, artistic, dynamic lifestyle, a platform for the youth who are keen on active life attitude and are eager to stay connected.
