The client and his wife have 3 boys, this family deeply values the home to be a loving refuge where everyone can relax, learn, grow, and laugh together.

The cross lamp was especially designed in the reading area to symbolize wisdom exuding from the shelves of books, with hopes that knowledge would be passed down through family time as a legacy of their faith. Feelings of warmth and welcome for the family to come together to read, connect, and make memories is demonstrated by a quiet invitation of the arc shaped floor tiles.

The separation of the dining room and the kitchen through the unique placement of the stone island extends the space for precious conversations that often overflow from the heart of the home, which is the kitchen. The theme of the 4 seasons in nature is highlighted in the combination of the stone tabletops, wooden table legs, and chandeliers featuring plants and creation that is sustained with all of their needs provided for as the family grows.

Solid wood paddles is used for the ceiling fan in the living room to centerpiece and spread the air of support and cheer for their son who is passionate in kayaking with his crew team.

Much of the family’s time is spent in nature, so when they come home to a place of refuge, serenity, and authenticity that reflects the client’s original intent, through a home with a simple primitive elegance of green and wooden materials decorated with a background of the elegant mixture of black, gray, and white surroundings. This home fully embodies the values of the client for the family to have a place of refuge, healing, and love.
