Haiyuan Villa

The project is located in Zhujiajiao, Qingpu, Shanghai. This is a old villa, and the designer has conducted a comprehensive renovation of the architecture, garden, interior and soft furnishings. Adhering to the concept that “design is not just about designing a house, but about helping clients create their ideal home,” the design is integrated into daily life to meet the style and functional needs of the homeowners. The villa originally has one basement and two above-ground floors, with a total area of 1211.79 square meters after renovation. Improvements have been made to transparency, spatial perception and connectivity. The garden is centered around the house, blending internal and external spaces to create a pastoral living atmosphere. The underground space includes a dance room, study, fitness area, bar and multimedia area, providing residents with leisure and entertainment venues. The first floor features a lofty living room that vertically extends the sense of space, with large floor-to-ceiling windows using translucent techniques to break the boundaries of space and create free-flowing light. Additionally, there are dining areas, family areas, cultural and leisure areas, children’s areas and negotiation areas, promoting communication among family members. The second floor utilizes large-scale designs to create ensuite bedrooms, establishing independent and private sleeping environments tailored to the preferences of different residents, thus creating personalized and cozy spaces.
