The hotel sits in the centre of the Dong’an Lake Park in Chengdu, China, next to civic amenities including Universidad Sports Centre, multi-functional stadium and swimming pool. With a prominent yet spacious location, the project is immersed in an urban oasis that connects public transportation to the city. The hotel houses 351 south-facing rooms, optimising each room view with natural landscape and lake. While obtaining a good view for the hotel, it is coordinated with the landscape axis of the stadium; the volumes of the three hotel buildings are used to create staggered movements, retaining good permeability to the residences and streets.

The corrugated horizontal line design of the facade makes the building facade full of layers. With different angles of sunlight, it presents a sparkling visual effect, making the hotel and Dong’an Lake perfectly integrated.
