This 40-year-old residential building faced numerous challenges, including water leakage, aging pipelines, inadequate storage, poor layout, and low floor heights. To enhance both functionality and living quality, the design team undertook a complete transformation with the goal of creating a modern, natural, and comfortable environment, while focusing on every detail’s texture and artistic appeal.

The design concept is rooted in "modern natural minimalism," combining high-end materials and soft furnishings to create a space full of depth and refinement. The traditional opulence of luxury styles was left behind in favor of a focus on the essence and quality of the space. The designer believes that true sophistication comes not from lavish outward decoration, but from the understated elegance and warmth within. To break free from traditional design constraints, the team used clean lines, artistic sensibility, and unique materials to craft a living space that is both modern and warm, blending simplicity with comfort.

Functionality was central to the project’s spatial layout. The living, dining, and bedroom areas were meticulously reconfigured to alleviate the cramped feel of the original design. Thoughtful spatial divisions enhanced flow and accessibility. A particular focus was placed on optimizing storage, with the introduction of custom system furniture that avoided the heaviness of traditional cabinets. The open design created a sense of transparency and fluidity throughout the space.

Material selection was a key factor in this renovation, balancing quality and innovation. High-end materials such as lacquer, marble, titanium metal, and ultra-durable wood flooring were combined with modern techniques to highlight the home’s refined and unique aesthetic. Notably, Italian handmade Stone Cloud-patterned special paint was applied to the walls, adding an artistic effect that deepens the space’s sense of layering. Large-format tiles simplified the wall and floor design, enhancing the space's overall cohesion, while wood veneer and lacquered glass added warmth and softness, balancing the modern elements with a welcoming atmosphere.

Through a thoughtful combination of modern natural minimalism, innovative layout, and carefully selected materials, this project has created a home filled with artistic flair and warmth.
