The design of the Zhizhu Lifestyle Pavilion draws profound inspiration from the Eastern philosophical tenet of "Tian Ren He Yi" (天人合一 – harmony between humanity and nature), reinterpreted through a modern lens. Light and shadow are ingeniously employed as the soul of the space:
Inviting Light, Interplaying Reality and Illusion: Expansive floor-to-ceiling glass curtain walls seamlessly draw the outdoor courtyard scenery and abundant natural light inwards, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior. As light shifts throughout the day, it casts an ever-changing poetic script upon the space, imbuing the static architecture with dynamic vitality.
A Dialogue of Materials, A Warmth of Texture: The space predominantly features materials with natural textures, such as warm wood finishes, a grounded dark flooring, and marble reminiscent of ink wash paintings.
