For the homeowner, daily life is an extension of creative expression. In response, the designer unfurled a blank canvas, where soft lighting and warm wood veneers serve as pigments, drawing the eye to focal points. Paired with clean, refined lines, the design preserves flexibility for personal arrangements and oil painting creations. Over time, emotions and memories will layer upon this backdrop, gradually composing a home that is both distinctive and warm in its family life.
At the heart of the residence, the kitchen island becomes the core of both interaction and visual balance. Beyond integrating storage and food preparation, it links the living and dining areas, evolving into the household’s central node of connection. Circulation flows clearly and naturally, while textures and light weave together layers of perception—bridging the “visible ties of daily life” with the “invisible warmth of emotion.” In this way, the home transcends its role as a vessel for living, becoming instead a gentle archive of family stories, quietly recording moments of growth, companionship, and a sense of belonging.
At the entryway, wood flooring covers the original polished stone tiles, using a subtle level difference to define the drop zone. This approach maintains visual consistency while adding depth and variation. Curved lines soften the transition, creating a welcoming gesture. A recessed dark-toned wall element conceals the electrical panel, while a tinted mirror mounted above offers convenience for appearance checks, combining practicality with aesthetic refinement.
To achieve the homeowner’s custom of decorating a Christmas tree each year, the design reserves a dedicated 70 cm diameter spot at one side of the TV wall, complete with its own downlight, creating a festive display corner. The living room seating features a dual-facing arrangement: the front zone is designed for viewing entertainment, while the rear serves as an open play area, allowing homeowners to watch movies while accompanying their children.
