This case takes "universal design" and physiology of the elderly as the design criteria. Considering that most of the retired populations are sub-healthy people. Sub-healthy people are between those with mobility impairments and those who are healthy. Most of them are slower and weaker than healthy people. Therefore, intuitive design is adopted and the spare space is reduced. The line of movement is wholesome and the overall situation is clear. Furthermore, the elderly are less sensitive to color due to weakened vision, and most of the low-chroma and achromatic colors feel uncomfortable or make the visual spatial perceptual ability lower. Therefore, the high-chroma Nordic wood design is adopted, and the high-color and high contrast make the elderly have a clear recognition of the space, and bring a warm atmosphere to the space.
In order to enable the senior citizens to have a more comfortable life, the universal design planning bathroom and toilet is the center of the space configuration, so that the connection between the spaces is shortened. Considering that most of the retired ethnic groups are sub-healthy people, an intuitive design is adopted to make the spatial movement lines clear. Furthermore, related functions such as switches, sockets and furniture are all considered for sub-healthy senior citizens. Because the physiological vision of the elderly is weakened, and the elderly are less sensitive to color due to the weakened vision. Most of the low and achromatic colors feel uncomfortable or make visual spatial perceptual ability lower. Therefore, the high-color Nordic wood design is adopted, and the high-color and high contrast are used. The elderly have a clear sense of orientation.
The configuration adopts a horizontal design and intuitive moving lines to make the space simple and neat. In terms of color, due to the weaker eyesight of the elderly, it is impossible to recognize low-chroma colors. The wood-based high-color and high-contrast design is used to make the space texture clear and conspicuous, constructing a careful and thoughtful design home.
