WUTEVER CLUB

The Wutever club in Chengdu, China, aims to re-define the concept of the future entertainment venue where it not only combines the physical program of a go kart track, bar, dance club and VIP rooms, but also the virtual world of mobile and online gaming, video animation, and social media.

The result is a sequence of seamless integration of various spaces, inter-connected by animated and programmed led strip lighting, which immediately greets guests with adrenaline and speed. Inspired by exotic automotive designs, the illuminated display shelves in gun-metal aluminum panels and hexagonal floor tiles are implemented to animate the apparel changing area – reminiscing a spaceship capsule - the perfect location for quick snapshots.

After a quick briefing by the instructors, drivers will then enter the stark metallic white starting grid/charging station for the ultimate sensory experience while spectators can have full view of the track from the central bar area. Through the use of programmable lighting schemes and video projections around the track, the karting experience can be customized accordingly to provide guests with experiences that are only limited by imagination.

Featuring multiple origami-style LED panels, specialty lighting and robotic setups, the club area is where another exhilaration begins after hours as world renowned top 100 DJs are to perform throughout the night. VIP karaoke rooms further enhance the overall experience in a more luxurious and private setting.

In conclusion, the Wutever club, with its multi-faceted programming, represents the embodiment of both east and west cultures including sci-fi, motorsports, music and performance arts, etc. Combine that with technologies and interactivity on and offline, the project provides a possible alternative for future realities to come.
