This project is located at metro line 5, Chengdu,China. Metro line 5 is the seventh completion of Chengdu’s metro system, A Thousand Plateaus culture and art co,.ltd. is pleased to have commissioned the project of five momentous art stations. By fabricating the over&under ground relations, livelihood-oriented trans hub, and the expression of cultural landmarks,the project aims to bring the examples of art into Chengdu city and to all citizens and tourists.
Collaborating with artists of diverse styles, the design of five stations derives from the study of modern society development in BASHU, emphasizing each station's distinctive characteristic and infusing modern energy into local traditions.
The five stations take place from north to south, respectively named as Heavy Blooms in the City of Brocade( HuangHuaYuan station ), The Male Phoenix Courting the Female Phoenix ( FuQin station ), The Tao in the City of Hibiscus ( QingYang Temple station), Epic of Nature ( Jincheng Avenue Station), Link (ErJiang Temple Station).Themes' ideology is inherited from local “BASHU civilization” and refined from Modern BASHU Basin society developing status. It presents the classicism and modernism beauty of Chengdu city.
