Flowing Lights

Purity, transparency, and steadiness were the three initial expectations of the owner; therefore, grey colors are applied in most areas to combine with the structure’s lighting advantages. At the same time, gratings, the open-end public area, and the trap doors of the private area are paired to maximize space application. Simple and clean selections such as grey color tones, white, vintage-like furniture, and light-colored wooden SPC floorings have built up a unique yet rich sense for living. The initial space has already equipped transparent and rich lightings; therefore, the designer combined the natural conditions with simplicity to embody a pure and carefree atmosphere. The public area is set up with more windows to draw the warm daylight into the interior, giving a sense of steadiness to the indoors while decreasing electric light usage, achieving energy saving and carbon reduction, and contributing to the environment. “Runaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, back to the home that is pure, comfortable, and care-free.” The designer applied grey colors that stable people’s bodies and minds as the critical tone of the spatial, and selected vintage-like furniture in the same tone, dark-grey system appliances, and kitchen counters. At the same time, each corner of the public and private area is set up with expansive windows to draw nature lightings, allowing users to bath in sunlight; this open-end residence has created an intimate area that breaks free limitations.
