Dongyuan County Chunze Xingqun Experimental School

The project is located in Huangtian Town, Dongyuan County, Heyuan City. It is a valley land surrounded by mountains on both sides. The mountains are stacked and the forests are covered with bamboos. The maximum height difference is nearly 40 meters.

The plan starts from the height difference of the site and divides it into the entrance area, the teaching area, the public overhead area, and the playground living area according to the functions of the school. In the vertical direction, a multi-layer platform is built on the mountain. In order to save the development cost, a combination of centralized and decentralized layout is adopted in the architectural form. The teaching area is arranged in the flat area at the foot of the mountain, and the centralized board type is used to facilitate teaching. The dormitory area is built along the mountain and adopts the point-type distributed layout, and the retaining walls are set on separate platforms to reduce the development of the mountain.The unique site characteristics and the location in Heyuan City with profound Hakka culture, the façade design continues the memory of the site by abstracting the site characteristics of mountains, village houses, settlements, bamboo forests, etc., forming an architectural style with local unique culture.
