No.12 桔禾住宅

Located in the downtown area, No.12 is the latest design work of my firm that explores and satisfies my customers’ needs after a series of discussion prior to or during the work. With an aim to make good use of living space, the designing started with the search for materials and interior arrangement ideas that could best reflect the customers’ personal style. At last, it successfully exemplifies the ideas of simplicity and comfort: The interior design enables the residents in the afternoon to have a casual rest in their own personal space, when gentle breeze and beam splash through the window.


The designer also incorporates wood grain with the distribution of interior spaces. Despite limited interior space, the design makes it possible to have enough storage space. Also, with the parapet at the entrance that separates working area from private space, it enlarges the living space optically.


The hand-made wooden door in grill style demonstrates the creator’s skill and the residents’ extraordinary taste. It was made in a unique style with different layers to hide the wiring of hardware and curved corners to convey a sense of warmth. The lighting hidden between storage shelves and the wall brings its residents to fucus on visual rhythm. This is No.12, a work that visualizes an ideal and natural accommodation.
