In the 17th century, Chinese Oolong tea was made popular in England. The moment Queen Victoria tasted Oolong, she seemed to instantly open a window that could transcend time and space; transporting her to a mysterious oriental tea garden and transforming her into a simple tea picker. The fragrant and sweetness brought by carefully selecting every single tea leaf allows ‘Oriental beauty’ become the name of the Chinese Oolong tea.
The inner box of this product is a historical blueprint of Chinese Oolong tea passing through the Ancient Tea Horse Road and drifting across the sea into the Western Regions. Traditional Chinese tea, the mysterious “oriental beauty” has also been passed down as a story until this very day.
Legend has it that this delicate Oolong was given the name by Queen Victoria. Brought to court by an English tea merchant, Queen Victoria was drawn by its fruity and honey-like aromas, subtle sweet flavour, velvety smooth infusion and vivid appearance in the cup like an exquisite dancer. It instantly won the heart of the Queen and she named it Oriental Beauty after consulting the origins of the tea.
