VAA INTENSIVE CLEANSING BALM

As the Chinese saying goes: “The wise find pleasure in water; the virtuous find pleasure in mountains”. Taking that eastern philosophy as the design idea, the packaging for VAA cleansing balm enriches itself by integrating the elements related to water and mountains.

The packaging design centers on the principle of “form follows function”. Inspired by cliffs where red camellias grow and black pebbles in streams, the bottle shapes like a rock pile, which represents the strong skin after makeup is removed with this product. The top view of the bottle resembles a water drop of the streamlined style to create a visual association with dew dripping from petals of camellias, suggesting the product contributes to soft and silky smooth skin.

The overall appearance shows the beauty of balance in nature, and embodies “balance” in eastern philosophy. Compared with the conventional geometric lids, the ergonomic triangular lid with rounded edges is easier to open and prevents slipping. The bottle body is made of glass, while the inner side of the lid, and the pad, both adopt biodegradable ABS and PP. In this way, the packaging can be recycled as a whole after the product runs out, whereby to free users from trouble of garbage classification.
