About The Entry

Blending architecture and art, this space is a sanctuary for a global traveler and a canvas for a connoisseur. Inspired by New York's Grand Central Station and boutique hotels, the design transcends borders, weaving time, culture, and memory to craft a modern dwelling rich in travel nostalgia.

The interior celebrates aesthetic unity and subtle variations. Its location near a city art museum brings synergistic energy. The living area facing the museum harnesses natural light and panoramic views, inspiring daily life. Elegance shines through hidden TV cabinets and a unified visual layout that balances modernity and tradition. The layout distinguishes the living and dining areas through ceiling designs and architectural cues. The ceiling, echoing arch forms, imparts a sense of time. A strategic visual link merges the TV wall and dining cabinets into one focal point. The TV cabinet skillfully hides behind sliding doors featuring the homeowner's religious symbols, adding both symbolism and functionality.

The dining storage unit, characterized by its arch-shaped design and intricate lighting, adds visual depth to the scene. This element pays homage to the iconic atmosphere of New York’s Grand Central Station by miniaturizing its grandiosity, encapsulating the homeowner’s travel memories. The ceiling features a special paint to evoke a cave-like ambiance that resonates with the concept of time. Between the entrance and dining area, a double-sided storage cabinet ingeniously connects the spaces, framed by grand pillars and embellished by a vintage glass chandelier, creating a theatrical vignette in a domestic setting.

Interior lighting is devised on three different layers, all paired with adjustable brightness and warmth settings, allowing occupants to tailor the atmosphere to specific moments. The entrance is marked by a wooden table, an ornate circular mirror, and a stunning chandelier, offering a refreshing experience for anyone who steps through the door. The study's bookshelves are fashioned after a historical library, bringing a sense of ceremony to the home's literary collection. In the master bedroom, warm wood tones and orange paint capture the essence of American countryside, serving as another chapter in the homeowner’s tapestry of travel memories.
