YUCHUAN CUISINE

Yuchuan Japanese restaurant was founded by a team passionate about Japanese cuisine culture. They combine the essence of cooking with innovation to create culinary works of art. The designer broke away from the traditional Japanese restaurant space, merging it with the existing structure using modern techniques. The exterior of the shop features clean lines and stacked elements, combined with textured materials, showcasing the unique characteristics of the store. Due to the location of the shop in a bustling area, the exterior design incorporates a coffee bar and semi-open outdoor seating, enhancing interaction with the neighborhood. Upon entering the interior, the designer seamlessly integrated the ceiling and walls, using the '川' (river) as a design element and incorporating water ripple lights to create a 'wave' design motif. This includes hand-painted ink feather DuPont paper lightboxes, infusing the 'Yuchuan Realm' with a craftsman's spirit. The kitchen emphasizes communication between the head chef and diners, so the designer raised the traditional dining counter to bar height to enable eye-level contact between diners and the chef. Several spaces also incorporate green plant decorations to enhance guest comfort. The designer emphasizes the interaction between space, food, and people, providing the owner with a new place to express their original intentions and encounter others, all for the purpose of giving guests a pleasant and unforgettable journey at Yuchuan.
