Liubai B&B

Located in Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, China, the project is inspired by the Huizhou architecture of the Jiangnan water towns. The design of the public space inherits the simplicity, tranquility and elegance of the architecture and landscape, while creating different scenarios in different functional areas to build a living space in symbiosis with nature.

Throughout the project, the design team used wood as the main material aimed at reducing the pollution generated during processing and construction. In addition, due to the resilience of wood and its higher strength-to-weight ratio, timber frame buildings are more resistant to destructive earthquakes. The refinement of modern wood construction techniques also greatly reduces the risk of fire, and its superior acoustic insulation gives the lodging space a sense of tranquility and relaxation.
