Caijiao Design Studio, Beijing

The studio comprises two parts: the building and the courtyard, which have been transformed from an originally rundown structure. The original building consisted of eight separate, enclosed rooms, with cramped and outdated spaces, and an overgrown abandoned yard on the outside.

The primary task of the design was to open up the enclosed spaces through structural renovations, while creating a beautiful garden in the courtyard. We enlarged the windows of the building, allowing the courtyard's scenery to naturally extend into the interior. This design concept of bringing the outdoors inside creates a seamless indoor-outdoor atmosphere. Our core philosophy is to embrace nature, ensuring that every employee in the studio is constantly connected to the natural world. Here, employees work and live every day in an open and relaxed environment, just like family.

The office space has been designed to be completely open and relaxed, merging work and life, and infusing life with artistry. Everyone can read, socialize, hold meetings in the courtyard, exercise in the yoga room, or spend time with our dogs in the materials room. At noon or in the evening, everyone can cook together in the kitchen. We've even equipped the bathroom with a shower, seamlessly integrating comfort into the work environment.

Through this work style, we hope to convey our attitude and philosophy towards life to all our clients who visit this studio. Every material and color in the studio represents our understanding of Eastern aesthetics, infusing the beauty of the East into this artistic office environment.
