About The Entry

Che’s collection, aptly named "Multi-Faceted," draws on a kaleidoscope of influences and emotions, particularly those of the sixties—a decade renowned for its eclectic mix of styles and cultural upheavals. For Che, this era symbolizes boundless creative potential and a resistance to rigid definitions. "Defining my aesthetics into a specific genre has always been challenging,” she admits, "But I've embraced this fluidity, which allows me to continuously explore and evolve."

This collection doesn’t just explore diversity in concept; it manifests in the technical execution as well. Che’s designs prioritize a 360-degree perspective, ensuring that the lines and shapes of her garments flow seamlessly, uninterrupted by side seams. The collection’s palette spans from dreamy pastels to earthy browns and grays, symbolizing the transition from girlhood to womanhood. Juxtaposing playful elements like polka dots and ruffles with the sharp lines of tailored suits creates a dialogue between innocence and maturity. Materials such as silk and acetate which are featured prominently in the collection embody a subtle rebellion: Che reinterprets slip dress materials—a symbol of feminine maturity in her upbringing—by embracing its imperfections. The fabric's tendency to wrinkle becomes a metaphor for the challenges and issues of adult life, and this has inspired her to create specially treated wrinkled-effect fabrics used on several pieces from the collection. This embrace of imperfection offers a comforting realism, suggesting that beauty lies not in flawlessness, but in the stories that those flaws and wrinkles tell.
