JUST WAITING FOR YOU

Design Inspiration:

The design of this work draws inspiration from the popular Chinese song "Blue and White Porcelain," with the lyric "The sky is a clear shade of blue, while I wait for you." The jewelry captures the colors of the sky during rain with turquoise, various shades of sapphires, and chalcedony. The transparent and pure sapphires, cut to resemble drifting clouds, create a visual contrast with the high saturation and porcelain-like texture of turquoise.

Design Concept:

The phoenix is the most vibrant cultural symbol and spiritual emblem of the Chinese nation. Inspired by the ancient Chinese decorative pattern "Cloud and Phoenix," the designer portrays a phoenix soaring in the rain, symbolizing auspiciousness, prosperity, fulfillment of desires, and the arrival of good fortune.

The entire piece conveys an Eastern philosophical reflection. The "clear blue" representing the wait in the rain actually signifies a longing and pursuit for a better future. This waiting embodies anticipation, hope, patience, and perseverance. It can be lengthy or brief, and during the wait, we experience various psychological states. Regardless of the outcome, each wait adds new colors and meanings to our lives.
