Appreciating Art Together

Appreciating Art Together is a collection of pendant flowers designed exclusively for Garden City Mall in Shenzhen. Taking inspiration from the elegance of flowers in nature, it has elevated the mall’s ambiance with a touch of artistry and refinement. The installation showcases five large, blooming flowers, with petals that appear fully open when viewed from directly below and elegantly spiral outward when seen from the side. This layered design beautifully complements the mall’s contemporary architecture as well as its flora name.

Flooded with natural light from the mall’s expansive glass ceiling, this installation gracefully diffuses sunlight, transforming intense rays into a gentle cascade. As the sun shifts, the petals adjust, casting subtle, dappled shadows that shield passersby from glaring light, evoking the tranquil beauty of a “blooming garden”. As night falls, the petals come alive, drifting gracefully in sync with the music. With soft lights trace their edges to mimic flowers slowly descending—a mesmerizing interplay of movement, light, and acrylic hues.

Driven by a precise mechanical system, each petal sways elegantly to the music, creating a floral show in the air. This will make the gadget a captivating focal point that attracts more people to linger around and enjoy, realizing real “appreciating art together”. It reaches a point where art and commerce come together in harmony.
