INNER JOY

Situated in Hefei City, Anhui Province, the project witnesses the convergence of the "Longchuan Road", considered as the urban "dragon vein", and the former site of "Longchuan Village", symbolizing the historical "dragon vein" in southern Anhui. With the "dragon vein" as the inspiration, the design connects the landscape context with culture by means of inheriting and innovatively interpreting China's "dragon" totem culture, thereby creating a contemporary ideal oriental dwelling that abounds in oriental charm.

The design is based on the concept of "The Dragon's Roar Echoes in the Environment, and the Reclusive Literati Assemble for an Elegant Gathering". The "dragon" element is skillfully integrated into the landscape. By inheriting traditional skills and innovatively applying materials, it presents the oriental aesthetic space and recreates a life full of oriental charm. The design takes inspiration from the traditional gardening methods of constructing hills and laying out waters in classical gardens. It creates landscapes according to the land's natural contours, to form a three-dimensional landscape with minimal intervention. Cooperation with the architecture, interior, and lighting enables the fluidity and permeability of space, generating an unlimited landscape experience within a defined space. At the same time, considering the urban development, it reorganizes the public block landscapes around the site to upgrade the urban appearance and establish a city-friendly living environment.
