Urban Hunting Lodge

Tucked within the bustling cityscape, this residence reimagines a hunting lodge, crafted in response to the owner’s love for model guns and his cherished golden retriever.

The public areas are enveloped in deep wood tones, evoking the timeless spirit of ancient hunting cabins. Accents of metal—such as perforated panels and diamond-patterned doors—subtly weave in elements reminiscent of vintage firearms.

At the entryway, expansive ceramic tiles and a strategically placed mirror visually amplify the compact space. The seamless transition from tile to wooden flooring offers a clear and elegant division of the interior zones.

The dining area is anchored by a solid wood table and a streamlined horizontal pendant light. Antler-inspired armchairs lend a distinctive hunting motif, while the minimalist table and lighting enhance the quiet sophistication of the design.

The TV feature wall is finished with soft, cloud-like artistic paint, conjuring the sensation of wandering through a misty forest at dawn—a breath of nature captured within the home.

In the study, the rear wall emulates a rugged mountainside, with built-in bookshelves seamlessly integrated

into the surface. A sloped ceiling overhead evokes the comforting silhouette of a traditional cabin, thoughtfully reinterpreted with a modern sensibility.

Beyond the “mountain wall” lies the master bedroom, designed as a bright, welcoming nest. Departing from the conventional dark, cocoon-like cave, this space embraces lighter wood tones and an airy palette. Natural light floods the room, creating a refreshing sanctuary that surprises and delights upon entry.

Perched atop an apartment building, this home offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. After a long day at work, stepping inside feels like retreating to a cozy mountain cabin—where a loyal and loving Golden Retriever eagerly awaits your arrival.
