About The Entry

The project is a three-story urban residence crafted for a second-generation entrepreneur seeking a retreat that balances architectural clarity with personal expression. Instead of following conventional residential layouts, the design adopts a “one room per floor” configuration, allowing each level to unfold as a self-contained spatial experience with its own material rhythm and emotional tone.

The central design language revolves around micro-cement, chosen for its muted tactility, sustainable profile, and ability to harmonize with natural light. Rather than applied in a strictly planar fashion, the material is shaped into soft curves and seamless transitions. Beams blend into ceilings, corners are gently rounded, and walls curve with subtlety. This visual fluidity softens structural geometry and creates a meditative spatial rhythm, guiding inhabitants naturally through the home.

On the first floor, the space evokes a minimalist gallery. The interplay between micro-cement and non-transparent fluted glass results in layered compositions of light and reflection. The glass is not used to transmit light, but to refract it. Its surface captures shifting shadows and glows that evolve with the time of day. Linear LED strips are seamlessly integrated into architectural joints, accentuating depth and spatial boundaries while preserving visual quiet.

The second floor transitions into a more introspective zone. A palette of deeper greys, wood textures, and ambient lighting defines the private suite. A custom-fabricated metal door, featuring rounded contours inspired by nautical hatchways, introduces sculptural contrast. Within, the ensuite bathroom continues the theme of tonal restraint and luminous softness.

The third floor opens into a flexible living area that may serve as a lounge, guest space, or study. Below, the basement accommodates a private garage and transitional foyer, completing the vertical circulation with discretion and ease.

This home seeks no attention through ornamentation. Its strength lies in the careful orchestration of form, light, and atmosphere. The house invites stillness and emotional clarity, offering a vision of residential design where softness, simplicity, and soul are profoundly interwoven.
