About The Entry
Stepping into the exhibition hall, the visual focus is immediately captured by a wing installation suspended in mid-air. The designer uses cut and stacked wooden sample slices as feathers, arranging them in an arc-shaped array to enclose a semi-open negotiation area, cleverly concealing the four central load-bearing columns. The graduated-color wooden wings serve not only as spatial dividers but also as a three-dimensional textbook of woodworking craftsmanship. The circular circulation path they form guides visitors as if strolling through a galaxy of wood art, while the outstretched wooden wings in the negotiation area resemble a mother bird protecting its nest, creating a reassuring atmosphere for communication. Pull-out sample display racks paired with transparent glass countertops ensure an unobstructed view while showcasing the wood’s texture and grain clearly, highlighting the convenience and efficiency of material selection. At the entrance, four-color panel wardrobes are bounded by niches and adorned with wooden spheres, demonstrating exquisite woodworking craftsmanship while eliminating visual clutter. Moving forward, the four-color wardrobes, matrix wooden panel walls, wooden lattice glass sliding doors, and finally the tea area backdrop and wine cabinet unfold like a slowly unrolling oriental scroll. These furnishings are not just carriers of spatial aesthetics but also integrate practical functions such as storage and partitioning, perfectly interpreting the design essence of "integrating form and spirit." The lounge area, bordered by a tea counter, connects to an outdoor balcony, enabling an intimate dialogue between humans and nature. Relief panel cabinets integrate diverse materials—marble, fireplace, metal strips, and beveled mirrors—visually demonstrating the artistic charm of cross-material jointing. The cabinet doors transform into background decorative paintings, infusing the lounge with artistic flair. This exhibition hall is a quiet yet profound innovative practice. It eschews the hustle and bustle of traditional exhibition halls, allowing woodworking to return to its essence and achieving a harmonious coexistence of commercial value and aesthetic pursuit. Here, every inch of wood and every design detail is a living poem co-composed by craftsmen and visitors, telling the touching story of how wood art intertwines with life.
