About The Entry

The project is located on the west bank of the Gan River in the Hongjiazhou area of Honggutan, Nanchang City, positioned along the city’s core development axis. Adjacent to the administrative center, financial hub, cultural landmarks, and innovation engine, it is surrounded by well-established amenities, including high-end residences, governmental land, and ecological green spaces, boasting a rare riverside location advantage and a refined living atmosphere.

The design takes “water” as its starting point, deeply exploring the unique natural textures of the Gan River basin, the flow of water, the boundary of the shore, and the breath of the forest, translating them into a perceptible spatial language. This creates a waterfront community landscape system that resonates with regional cultural context while aligning with contemporary living ideals.

Rather than pursuing a symbolic sense of “luxury”, the design extracts the essence from nature. Through the strategy of “integrating natural forest streams into the garden”, external ecosystems are introduced into the internal space, allowing residents to shed urban stress on their journey home and enter a state of inner tranquility. The gentle curves of water are meticulously translated into the organizational logic of pathways, paving, water features, and plant clusters, forming a continuous and rhythmic spatial sequence. This realizes the living philosophy of “water enlivens the garden, and the garden thrives with water”, every detail serves the sensory experience and psychological sense of belonging for residents.

The entire design emphasizes the unity of function and aesthetics, respecting the site’s original topography and vegetation texture, minimizing artificial traces, and enhancing the immersive quality of natural narratives. Living is no longer a passive occupation of physical space but an active engagement in a return to body and mind, a true embodiment of “residing by the water, returning with the forest.” This is the core value we aim to deliver to users: in the rapid pace of urbanization, finding a serene haven to nurture the soul.
