About The Entry

Located in Suzhou Taihu New Town, this project benefits from excellent transportation links and a vibrant commercial environment, positioned in a core business district with rich educational and medical resources. Designed as an all-ages shared space, it targets individuals seeking quality living and cultural engagement, fostering community interaction through a sustainable and experiential “Future Living Lab.” Blending local heritage with urban context, the project explores the fusion of traditional and modern aesthetics, as well as Eastern and Western design influences. Rooted in regional culture yet infused with contemporary sensibilities, it emphasizes quality, interactivity, and artistry to create a space that is both functional and expressive. The “Living Library” experience pavilion integrates social, artistic, athletic, and service-oriented functions, supporting flexible use and future adaptability. The design reflects a refined, humanistic approach through curated contemporary art, layered spatial compositions, and immersive natural landscapes. Highlights include an art installation in the reception area, curated books and collectibles from CITIC Press, and themed scenographic displays across zones—all conveying aesthetic and cultural narratives. Material selection focuses on tactile comfort, durability, and sustainability, including water-ripple textures, metallic finishes, luxurious stones like Fendi Gold and Nero Marquina, milky and frosted glass, wood veneers, and suede upholstery. These are carefully chosen to meet both functional and aesthetic needs while maintaining a consistent design language. Local sourcing for furniture and lighting minimizes transportation-related carbon emissions, and sustainable-certified materials ensure environmental responsibility. Decorative elements are curated based on real-life usage scenarios, crafting a “Future Living Pavilion” that resonates with residents’ lifestyles while promoting ecological awareness, emotional connection, and long-term spatial vitality.
