ELITE PALACE

The project is located at the Exhibition Area of Plot 3, Elite Palace, Xining, Qinghai Province, where the site features significant elevation differences, with higher ground in the north and west and lower levels in the south and east, which provides favorable conditions for creating a multi-layered, courtyard-style arrival experience. The landscape design draws from the cultural context of Qinghai and interprets the classical aesthetics of Song Dynasty gardens, which emphasize spatial rhythm and refined elegance. While referencing the natural scenery along the Qinghai route of the ancient Silk Road, it integrates traditional literati elements such as tea ceremonies, poetry recitation, and guqin performance, which together shape a living environment that feels cultured, calm, and leisurely. The Exhibition Area of Plot 3 at ELITE PALACE in Xining is developed under the design concept of “Exploring the Natural Scenery of the Hehuang Valley, Portraying the Scholarly Elegance of Hanlin Culture.” Drawing on the spatial order of traditional Chinese gardens, the design extracts natural landscape elements from the Qinghai section of the ancient Silk Road and takes Song Dynasty aesthetics as its cultural foundation.
