About The Entry
Centered around "Zen and tea as one", this tea packaging container seamlessly blends the tranquil wisdom of Buddhism with the elegant essence of tea culture. Inspired by the monk's alms bowl, it adopts a rounded silhouette, symbolizing peace and mental clarity while conveying the idea that drinking tea is a process of spiritual cultivation. Inspired by Ashoka Pillar of Shanghai Jing'an Temple, the lid is crowned with a 3D four-lion sculpture that signifies righteousness and auspiciousness as well as the inclusive and peaceful spirit of Chinese culture. Combined with motifs of Ruyi (a symbolic scepter) and waves, this container carries forward the auspicious meanings of "divine blessing and jubilation" and "embracing all things with the magnanimity of the sea."
Structurally, this container utilizes high-quality ceramic materials instead of common iron or paper materials to ensure enduring utility and collectible value. It takes Chinese red as the primary tone, accentuated by gold-traced motifs to manifest a sophisticated and dignified Eastern aesthetic. The subtle luster of the ceramic glaze contrasts with the metal sheen, creating a serene yet luxurious visual effect.
Regarding craftsmanship, the 3D sculpture of "four crouching lions" crowned on the lid is precision-cast in brass and finished with gilding, faithfully replicating the Ashoka Pillar of Shanghai Jing'an Temple with meticulous details. The container body is made of high-quality ceramic fired at high temperatures, with surface patterns achieved through modern precision technology, making it robust and durable.
