Taihu Honor Sales Gallery, Wujiang, Suzhou

This project, tailored for a real estate clubhouse, aims to create a multifunctional space integrating art, culture, and functionality. Deeply rooted in the cultural essence of Wujiang, Suzhou, it achieves a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional elements such as Kunqu opera, Suzhou embroidery, and classical gardens. The result is an artistic environment with spiritual resonance, offering homeowners an ideal paradigm of future refined living.

The space subtly unfolds through a narrative of ‘Arrival–Exploration–Communication–Socializing–Leisure–Vitality’, delivering a cohesive cultural journey. The entrance hall in the Arrival zone features the sculpture—Flowing Melody of Wu—which captures the ethereal grace of Kunqu opera water sleeves and the enduring flow of Wujiang’s waterways, blending strength and softness into a visual harmony. The Exploration zone draws inspiration from the Master-of-Nets Garden, while its installation—Cloud Rivers of Watery Land—utilizes minimalist curves to reinterpret the form of Taihu rocks, transforming the power of nature and reflections on time into a spiritual landscape that invites contemplative wandering. The Communication zone boasts sofas upholstered in exquisite Suzhou embroidery fabrics, soft lighting, and luxurious stones to foster a warm, elegant atmosphere for conversation. In the Socializing zone, a floating bar counter as the center, combined with a multi-tiered ring-like art installation, a blue marble countertop, and crystal columns, provides an immersive socializing environment where light and shadow interweave. The tea room of the Leisure zone introduces the Song Dynasty tea ceremony, complemented by a gold leaf background, bringing to mind the meditative serenity of Eastern Zen.

The project, anchored in Shanghai’s unique East-meets-West style, adopts Western-style furniture infused with Eastern artistic elements to significantly improve spatial layering. Its well-chosen colors (including cloisonné blue, embroidery green, and satin gray) and materials (like Labradorite Blue Granite, metal, and embroidered fabrics) strike a perfect balance between ‘lightness’ and ‘richness’, creating a restrained yet luxurious space.
