About The Entry

The Yueli Collagen Regeneration Center, located in Pu’er, Yunnan, is a medical aesthetic space dedicated to serving women. The lighting design strategy unfolds around the concept of “Soft Light · Symbiosis · Serene Beauty.” Employing low-color-temperature, gentle warm light sources, it crafts a tender and embracing atmosphere that meets the needs of women’s physical and mental healing. The design emphasizes the interplay of light and materiality, allowing lighting to guide the spatial mood rather than dominate it.

The central art installation in the atrium is illuminated differently by day and night. During daylight hours, skylight filters in like a gentle mist, evoking a natural, ethereal ambiance. At night, upward-grazing light gradually washes the installation from below, embodying a sense of upward growth and vitality, resonating with the space’s healing theme.

In public zones where artistic sensibility and a relaxed atmosphere are prioritized, the lighting design skillfully employs abundant soft, diffuse illumination. Using high or low-position indirect lighting techniques, it shapes the ambiance. These light sources are subtly concealed within architectural features or objects, enhancing both the artistic quality and comfort of the space. Conversely, in areas with a distinct modernist style, such as the staircase, the lighting adopts a more direct approach to align with the spatial character.

In the design, wall-mounted fixtures replace traditional downlights in corridors, fulfilling both illumination and wayfinding functions. Integrated seamlessly into the architecture, they allow guests to overlook the fixtures’ presence subconsciously, achieving a perfect fusion of utility and aesthetics.

The consultation room is equipped with tunable-color-temperature luminaires. During consultations, a 3000K warm white light is used to cultivate a soft, relaxing mood, maintaining emotional continuity with the artistic, healing-oriented public areas outside. For sessions requiring focused assessment, the lighting can swiftly switch to 5000K neutral white light, enhancing spatial clarity and a sense of professionalism. This enables a natural transition from “calm” to “clarity”, balancing emotional guidance with functional needs.
