Surviving Pomelos Mid-Autumn Gift Box

"Surviving Pomelos Mid-Autumn Gift Box" was created in the wake of a typhoon as a way to stand together and support local agriculture. In July 2025, Typhoon Danas hit Tainan and destroyed most of the old pomelo orchards in Madou, leaving roadsides piled with fallen fruit. Three generations of farmers and returning volunteers worked side by side to rescue what they could and, together, turned this disaster into a post-typhoon gift box. Surviving Pomelos is therefore not only a seasonal present, but also a concrete action that helps farmers and the local community.

The outer box uses high-saturation neon green with deep black. On the front, bold hand-written characters spell out “碩果僅存” and “ONE FOR ALL,” with a bright yellow pomelo in the center. The contrast and rough brush lettering give the box strong shelf presence and communicate a simple message: even if only 1% of good fruit remains, it should still be carefully valued.

The structure and unboxing experience guide users through the story step by step. When the lid is opened, the first layer shows a photographic print of the storm-damaged orchards, setting the context before the products appear. Beneath it sit the pomelo, herbal chocolate, and a natural scent bottle. The pomelos are bought from farmers at above-market prices, using only the few remaining intact fruits, while part of the fallen fruit is transformed into chocolate infused with traditional herbal wisdom and into a natural aroma bottle, so that nothing is wasted. A divided inner tray gives each item its own display space. Dark paper stock and simple structural lines keep the focus on the neon-green cover and allow flexible product combinations in future editions, balancing storytelling impact with practicality and long-term usability.
