A three-unit housing cluster that utilizes a flag-lot access path as a shared common space.
The deep lot, which is accessed by two distinct flag-lot paths, would typically be divided into long, conventional flag-lot parcels. However, by designing the approach area to include car parking spaces, a a shared plaza, and a bicycle parking area, the space was planned as a common area accessible to all residents.
The plaza incorporates benches, lush landscaping, and lighting, creating a beautiful environment and a place for residents to relax.
Each dwelling unit is equipped with a terrace or deck, and the design adopts a Lounge Plan that connects the interior with the exterior, fostering a deeper sense of unity with the shared grounds.
The buildings are positioned at an angle facing the shared space, allowing the architectural design to be appreciated while residents are sitting on the benches or walking through the area. Separately from the main car access side, a narrower flag-lot path extends toward the property, which was utilized as a dedicated bicycle parking space, ensuring the efficient use of the entire site by everyone.
