After trying all kinds of angles and curves for the rockers, adjusting center of gravity and balance, I decided to add a stopper so that it sways and tilts just right. Also, this stopper secures the sofa when no one is sitting down. The six signature spokes are interpreted from fingers and hands gently holding something precious, and are designed to support head, shoulders, back and waist in a vertical line. Spokes, arms and the headrest are all carved individually from wood material with the traditional Japanese tools by the hands of craftsman. Also, we were very particular about leather and fabric for the cushions. For the back cushion, we used 100% high density feather for pliable support, and seats are made in two layers of urethan, preventing back pain from sinking in.
