Pulse Pair

Pulse Pair is a relational wearable that uses real physiological rhythms as its medium. By holding two heartbeats within a single object, it transforms companionship into a perceivable, bidirectional presence. Through restrained red and blue light, emotional sending and receiving become a continuous, living circulation.

Pulse Pair translates the heartbeat into a living "vessel." Red light pulses as the arterial flow (outward emotion), while blue light represents venous return (inward response). Together, they form a closed circulation within the device, transforming an abstract relationship into a rhythmic, biological structure that breathes with the wearer.

Five fixed stars on the shell combine with two heartbeat-driven lights to form the Big Dipper. This embeds fleeting, private heartbeats into an eternal celestial map. By aligning transient emotions with cosmic permanence, Pulse Pair ensures that even the most intimate moments are anchored in a universal perspective: light in the heart, form in the longing.

Crafted from black semi-transparent material, the device employs a philosophy of light: In Light (Prosperity): The device is restrained and silent, revealing people's "Core" (the pulse). In Dark (Adversity): It reveals its internal "Core" (the circuitry)—a metaphor for steady, structural support. When life is smooth, it witnesses your joy; when life enters a valley, its visible inner structure serves as a stable companion, guiding you through the shadows.
