Phase II of Xuhui Sports Park

Phase II of Xuhui Sports Park is located at 1500 South Zhongshan Second Road. Its surroundings include multiple metro lines, an elevated highway, and residential/commercial buildings. Covering 206,897㎡ (with 67,752.2㎡ of green space, a 32.75% greening rate), it follows the "one axis, two wings" layout from the planning phase, with three zones (professional competition axis, aerobic park, sports park). It aims to build an all-age ecological urban sports park and revitalize the area.

With the core concept of "Connecting History, Grounded in the Present, Striding into the Future", this project creates an age-friendly and integrated sports and leisure space. Drawing overall design inspiration from the white magnolia, the elegant shape of its petals is integrated into structures, runway lines and sports icons, combining aesthetic value with profound symbolism.

The project features clear functional zoning, covering key areas such as the Aerobic Park, Waterfront Park and East Entrance Plaza. The sunny lawn meets diverse needs including gatherings, team building and exhibitions, while the lakeside trail and central water feature offer a pleasant waterfront experience. A highlight is the runway design: a dual-track system with a 1.35km inner loop and a 2.00km outer loop, featuring separate fast and slow lanes connected by buffer zones. Pedestrian flow is distinguished through pavement color, material and patterns, resolving circulation conflicts.

Incorporating modern sports technology, the project builds a scientific and safe smart runway. Integrating supporting facilities like leisure green spaces and cultural exhibition corridors, it achieves the fusion of sports and leisure, technology and nature. Not only meeting the health needs of all age groups, it also shapes a new landmark of trendy sports in Shanghai.
