Wild Yeast – Baking & Coffee emerges as an urban sanctuary where nature is not merely present—it breathes, grows, and actively shapes the space. Rooted in the idea of “a space that breathes: where nature is not added, but invited to dwell,” the design transforms the interior into a living extension of the earth itself.
Conventional spatial uniformity gives way to a layered topography. Double-height voids, staggered floor plates, and gently terraced platforms carve out a dynamic, three-dimensional landscape—one that invites intuitive movement and discovery, turning circulation into an unfolding journey through light and greenery.
Nature is woven into the design language—not as ornaments, but as structures. Lush plantings serve as soft partitions while asserting their presence as central characters, spilling through gaps and climbing surfaces with quiet vitality. Mature trees span multiple levels, establishing vertical continuity that functions as both visual axis and spiritual anchor.
Material contrasts deepen the sensory experience. The cool rigor of forged iron and micro-cement meets the warmth of timber and the energy of living flora. Daylight streams through expansive glazing, filtered by foliage to cast ever-shifting patterns across textured surfaces, creating a living play of light and shadow that dissolves the boundary between interior and exterior spaces.
More than just a place for coffee and bread, this space becomes something alive—a quiet companion that grows alongside the people and plants within it. Nature isn’t referenced here; it’s part of the space. Light, material, and life meet in quiet, returning people to the earth itself—even here in the city.
