Cloud Vista Residence

This project is located in Shijiazhuang. It was designed for a couple born in the 1980s seeking high-quality living. The residence serves as a model for upscale home environments among urban middle-class families and exemplifies the integration of historical aesthetic heritage, modern living functionality, and artistic atmosphere.

The design is based on a "modern light luxury" approach, seamlessly integrating the classic elements of Art Deco. It responds to the diverse needs of urban middle-class life. The design reflects a dual aspiration: to embrace the depth of historical legacy while retaining the convenience and comfort of contemporary living, and to cultivate an artistic ambiance and warmth within everyday spaces.

The spatial layout follows modern minimalist principles, with an open circulation system. The living room, dining area, and kitchen are arranged as an integrated space, optimizing movement flow and natural light intake. Public areas are designed to be open and expansive, while private zones emphasize tranquility and enclosure, balancing ceremonial quality with functional practicality. The color scheme employs low-saturation white, beige, and warm gray tones, complemented by walnut and dark coffee accents to establish spatial depth. Classic Art Deco colors, such as brass gold, deep green, and sapphire blue, are incorporated at key details, delivering a restrained yet dynamic aesthetic sense.

Material selection includes matte stone slabs and marble to form a high-end foundational layer. Brushed metal, painted wood veneers, velvet, and matte fabrics create complementary contrasts between hard and soft textures. The interior design and detailing follow principles of symmetry and geometric articulation, simplifying ornate decorations and retaining Art Deco’s distinctive motifs.

The overall design avoids ostentation as well as plainness, achieving a synthesis of Art Deco’s historical essence with the rhythms of modern urban life.
