Haohan Qiyuan

The project is located in Gongyi City, Henan Province, covering a site area of 29,049 m2 with a total floor area of 63,165 m2 and a floor area ratio of 1.494. The complex consists primarily of 10 residential buildings ranging from seven to eleven stories, as well as 1 supporting facility building.

The design looks at Gongyi's "Luorui" culture—the natural event where the clear Luo River and the muddy Yellow River meet—and uses it as a way to express the project's unique features in buildings. The community entrance, with its dynamic curved forms that mimic the swirling confluence of rivers, becomes a tangible cultural landmark within the city, showcasing a distinctive regional identity.

The project's spatial foundation is an axis that runs through a central ceremonial landscape, linking various nodes such as the community entrance, water features, the central lounge, and inter-residential gardens. This layered, progressive spatial sequence recreates the revered sense of order found in traditional ritual culture. Passing through the grand community gate reveals dynamic water scenes, lush vegetation, and sculptural elements arranged in a deliberate, picturesque manner. These elements construct a ceremonial pathway that embodies the concept of "one axis traversing north and south, with every step revealing splendid scenery." This ceremonial axis constitutes not only the landscape core of the community but also signifies a profound amalgamation of contemporary living requirements and Eastern aesthetics, thereby meticulously crafting a high-caliber, ceremonious homecoming experience for residents.

The design innovatively combines sunken courtyards and modern aesthetics to create an all-encompassing, three-dimensional social space. Fitness zones such as a gym and yoga studio, sports facilities such as basketball and badminton courts, as well as premium social spaces including reception rooms and private dining halls have been incorporated into this space. The design's intertwining of functional amenities with natural landscapes results in the breaking of the enclosed feeling of space, allowing for seamless integration between exercise, socializing, and natural scenery. This enhances the quality of life for residents of all ages.
