About The Entry

A thousand years of flower island history, a century of Ten Fragrance Garden. Haizhu is one of the birthplaces of Guangzhou flower market culture, known as the "Flower Island of a Thousand Years." The project is rooted in the unique colors of local Lingnan gardens, focusing on the Southeast Asian style, and uses fragrance as a guide to create a "Southeast Asian Fragrant Garden.".

The ultra-scale entrance, 9 meters high and 50 meters wide, condenses the classic homecoming ritual into a perceptible spatial ceremony. The boulevard of flowers lays out the path for homecoming guests. Inspired by traditional crafts such as lattice windows and weaving, the exquisitely crafted covered walkway connects every building, making the journey home no longer monotonous. At the northeast corner of the site, four original ancient trees have been specially preserved to create a banyan tree square, allowing the ancient trees to continue to shade the land and evoke memories of Guangzhou people's childhood memories of big trees, flowers, and fireworks.
