Beijing Jingtian＆Gongcheng (CQ) Law Firm Interior Design

Located on the 36th floor, the space commands a rare panoramic view of the confluence of two rivers through full-height glazing, making the surrounding landscape a defining asset of the project. However, the misalignment between the entrance and the primary landscape axis posed a key spatial challenge: how to naturally guide every visitor toward the optimal view while maintaining functional clarity.

The design responds by establishing a coherent system of flowing curves as the fundamental spatial framework. Rather than serving as mere decorative elements, the curves organize circulation, visual orientation, and zoning in a unified manner. Beginning at the entrance, the curved route gently directs movement and sightlines toward the 270-degree river view, while clearly delineating the lobby, meeting rooms of varying scales, and internal reception areas. This approach satisfies diverse functional needs without compromising openness or continuity.

To enhance transparency and spatial depth, all meeting rooms are enclosed with full-height glass partitions, allowing daylight and distant views to penetrate freely. Whether pausing briefly or engaging in focused discussions, occupants remain visually connected to the dramatic landscape, which acts as a calm yet powerful backdrop. A key spatial gesture is the island-style reception desk, crafted from natural travertine and positioned directly opposite the entrance. Acting as a visual anchor within the space, it organizes circulation on both sides and guides visitors toward the window-side waiting area, transforming waiting into a landscape-oriented experience.

The overall atmosphere reflects the professional identity of a top-tier law firm: restrained, rational, and warm. Spatial planning carefully balances efficiency, privacy, and natural light to support high-intensity professional work. Partner offices are conceived as quiet sanctuaries for sustained focus, while open workstations prioritize collaboration alongside individual comfort and visual privacy. Special attention is given to shared areas such as the tea space, designed as a soft, restorative zone that provides emotional relief within a demanding work environment.

Through disciplined spatial logic and meticulous detailing, the design conveys trust, cultural clarity, and enduring professionalism, where functionality, human care, and longevity are seamlessly integrated.
