About The Entry
This residential lighting project was developed for a home situated within a mountainous landscape, with the primary objective of translating the surrounding natural context into a functional interior lighting installation. We designed a custom linear enchanted forest chandelier that acts as a spatial connector between the interior architecture and the hills beyond.
The installation is informed by natural mountain elements of flora, fauna and forest textures abstracted into handblown glass blooms, mushroom-like diffusers, branching metal structures, and subtle antler and berry references. These motifs were intentionally restrained and integrated into the construction of the fixture to maintain clarity, durability, and contemporary relevance. The presence of two young children in the household informed the choice of softened forms, diffused light output, and a composition that feels immersive yet calm.
The linear configuration was engineered to align with the seating area, staircase, and panelled walls, ensuring proportional balance and seamless architectural integration. Carefully layered illumination delivers warm light suitable for daily use while creating a strong visual anchor within the space. The project demonstrates how site context and user needs can be translated into a precise, custom lighting solution for a residential environment.
