Located in the vibrant city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, this residential project is a masterful exploration of "Soft Minimalism." The design philosophy centers on creating an expansive urban sanctuary that prioritizes spatial fluidity, family safety, and emotional well-being. By utilizing a monochromatic pure off-white palette, the design effectively dissolves visual boundaries, significantly amplifying the perceived scale of the living environment and creating a sense of boundless airy freedom.
Tactile Warmth and Protective Forms
To balance the pristine ivory backdrop, the interior is layered with light wood textures, introducing an organic warmth that anchors the home in comfort. A defining characteristic of the project is its commitment to "Child-Centric Design." Sharp architectural corners are meticulously softened into elegant curves. These rounded silhouettes are not merely aesthetic choices; they serve as a protective embrace, ensuring a safe environment for the family’s children to play and move without the risk of injury.
The Choreography of Light
Lighting is treated as a dynamic element that reshapes the atmosphere according to the time of day. In the living area, a bespoke "Cinema Mode" utilizes low-level, ambient lighting to transform the space into a cozy, immersive retreat. The master bathroom features hidden indirect light sources that wash the surfaces in a soothing glow, turning a daily routine into a meditative, spa-like experience.

The children’s bathroom introduces a playful yet sophisticated touch, featuring dusty rose curved mosaics. This choice adds a whimsical "cuteness" while the textured surface provides essential slip-resistance and safety.
