The OCBC Securities Investors Hub in Singapore was designed as a next-generation financial environment that redefines how customers engage with securities trading. Located within Singapore’s financial district and spanning approximately 12,000sqft, the hub integrates technology, spatial experience, and operational clarity to deliver a customer-centric trading environment.
Inspired by the dynamics of trading characterized by market fluctuations, momentum and data flow the design translates abstract trading concepts into tangible spatial expressions. One of the key design moves was the elevation of ceiling heights from 3 metres to 4.5 metres, enhancing spatial value and openness. The extended ceiling plane is articulated through a composition of irregular triangular forms set at varying heights, symbolizing market upturns and downturns. Selected triangles are integrated with illuminated Barrisol ceiling panels, creating a contemporary lighting feature that reinforces the project’s conceptual narrative.
The full-glass frontage provides visual transparency, inviting passers-by to observe the activity within while reinforcing openness and accessibility. Upon entry, visitors are greeted by a central reception and self-service kiosk designed to streamline arrival and reduce waiting time. The oval reception counter, wrapped around a structural column and highlighted by a red circular ceiling element, acts as a spatial anchor and intuitive point of orientation.
Customer engagement zones are organised to support different modes of interaction. Semi-open discussion cubicles are formed using curved double layer glass with integrated LED lighting, displaying international trading platforms in frosted finishes. Meeting rooms are equipped with smart electronic film, allowing glass partitions to switch from transparent to opaque to ensure privacy when required. A dedicated demo and training zone incorporates standing trading terminals and mobile trading displays, offering customers hands on exposure to digital trading tools.
Overall, the OCBC Securities Investors Hub delivers a technologically advanced yet approachable environment that transforms complex trading processes into an engaging and intuitive spatial experience.
