Rooted in southern Guancheng District, and as the spiritual core of this exclusive low-density community of pure Fourth-Generation Residences, the design transcends mere formal shaping to explore the ecological resilience of architecture in the context of China’s "dual carbon" goals. Grounded in the Eastern philosophy of "Harmony between Man and Nature", we seamlessly embed green and sustainable technologies into the narrative of Eastern aesthetics, to craft a living, breathing architecture.
1. Passive Form Design and Microclimate Regulation
The building volume rejects the rigid logic of enclosed box-like structures, and instead adopts a bionic form inspired by the organic growth of forest trees. The vertical lines of the facade are not only a visual metaphor for upright elegance, but also form a passive shading system, calibrated to the precise solar angle to block radiant heat in summer. The horizontally extending components guide the prevailing wind direction, creating natural ventilation corridors that effectively reduce the building’s energy consumption. While shaping a modern and minimalist facade interface, this formal logic achieves self-regulation of the microclimate, positioning the building as a filter, rather than a consumer, of environmental energy.
2. Full-Lifecycle Material Ethics
The selection of facade materials adheres to the sustainable principle of "long-term durability". The building plinth is crafted with carefully selected natural luxury stones including Gucci Black Marble and Finnish Green Marble, whose exceptional weather resistance drastically reduces maintenance frequency and embodied carbon throughout the full lifecycle. They are paired with high-performance metal components that combine light weight, high strength, and optimized thermal performance.
The natural texture of the stone and the precise finish of the metal engage in a dialogue amid the interplay of light and shadow, both expressing the noble charm of Eastern aesthetics and embodying a deliberate commitment to low-carbon building materials. This design allows the building to grow richer in character with time, rather than falling into obsolescence.
