About The Entry

For Jean-Michel Jarre’s Special Summer Live Tour 2025 in Seville, we transformed the venue into immersive laser architecture. We designed a high-density beam ecosystem synchronized with Jarre’s music, turning light into a living instrument and redefining large-scale live audiovisual performance. Our ambition was not to complement the music with light, but to construct a living laser architecture that performed as an equal artistic instrument.

The innovation lay in synchronization architecture. Every beam sweep, volumetric curtain, and aerial formation was programmed as part of the musical narrative. The laser system did not react to music — it performed with it. Timing precision was calibrated to sub-second accuracy to maintain rhythmic integrity during live execution.

Seville required scale and intensity. We engineered beam coherence across wide outdoor distances while preserving optical sharpness for both the audience and broadcast capture. Thermal management, power distribution, and signal redundancy were optimized for continuous high-output performance under live conditions.

The result was not a lighting design but a spatial instrument — an immersive beam architecture where music shaped light and light shaped space. The concert became a unified audiovisual organism, redefining how laser technology can function within large-scale live performance.

Our objective was to elevate laser design from a supporting element to a primary spatial instrument. We aimed to create a fully synchronized beam system performing as visually equal to Jarre's music in real time — not reacting, but co-performing.

The Jean-Michel Jarre Special Summer Live Tour 2025 in Seville achieved its primary objective: establishing laser architecture as an equal artistic instrument to the electronic music pioneer, validated by zero-fail execution and direct artist acknowledgement.

The ultimate metric was not numerical but relational: Jarre's public recognition elevated laser design from technical service to artistic partnership. By synchronizing 38 high-output laser systems as a visual equal to his music, we demonstrated that beam architecture can function as a lead instrument in large-scale live performance — establishing a reference standard for tour-level audiovisual integration.
