This project explores the beauty of Mid-Century Modern, embracing the simplicity and functionality of the space. Customization of built-in cabinetry is the primary focus to maximize storage in a small space, where Form follows Function.
This design approach eliminates the visual elements of traditional door frames and door handles, making the entire wall appear more unified, continuous and smooth. By using the same material, color and texture as the wall, the door is "integrated" into the overall shape of the TV wall, almost imperceptible.
This greatly reduces visual noise and clutter in the space, emphasizing the flatness and purity of the wall, and creating a minimalist space atmosphere that is simple, open and serene. While maintaining the practical function of accessing the guest room, it maximizes the tidiness and design sense of the space.
